Pedestrian Crossover and Intersection Improvement Projects

Background

The Town of Oakville will continue implementing pedestrian crossovers (PXO’s), speed cushions and intersection improvements this summer. 

The project includes the construction and implementation of traffic calming measures in various locations: 

1. Installation of one traffic signal and intersection improvements
2. Construction of 16 PXOs
3. Construction of five all-way stops
4. Construction of speed cushions in various locations

This initiative is part of the Neighbourhood Traffic Safety Program, aimed at making Oakville’s streets safe for all road users.

Project timeline

Construction is expected to begin in June 2025, with an estimated completion date of December 2025.
