Parking Lots and Garages
Find municipal parking lots and garages, the cost to park your vehicle and time limits for parking.
When to pay
Paid parking is required in municipal parking lots from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
Parking is free in metered on-street spaces on Sundays, on holidays, and after 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

- Lot 1: $2 per hour - Five-hour limit
- Lot 2: $2 per hour - Five-hour limit

- Lot 5: $2 per hour - Nine-hour limit
- Lot 6: $2 per hour - Nine-hour limit
- Lot 7: $2 per hour - Nine-hour limit

- Lot 10: $1.25 per hour - Five-hour limit
- Lot 11A: $1.25 per hour - Nine-hour limit
- Lot 11B: $1.25 per hour - Nine-hour limit

- Lot 15: $2 per hour - Five-hour limit
- Lot 16: $2.50 per hour - Three-hour limit
- Lot F: $1.50 per hour - Nine-hour limit
The parking garage at 300 Church Street is temporarily closed for rehabilitation work.

Parking at Bronte Harbour is available with access just west of Bronte Road. Green P signs are posted to direct visitors to the parking area. Parking is at no charge and will be available until September 15.
Monthly parking
Ontario Street (south side between Jones and East Streets) is available for monthly permit parking only - $39.55
Overnight parking is available at most municipal lots.
6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- Free to park at downtown municipal parking lots.
2 a.m. to 6 a.m.
- A one-night pass is available for purchase on HonkMobile.
- A 30-night pass through the town’s online services.
Overnight paid parking permits in select downtown lots does not permit daytime parking.
If parking is required during the day please visit HonkMobile to make payment for up to the permitted daily time limit.

There are several locations for monthly permit parking in the Downtown Oakville, Kerr Village and Bronte Village districts.
Many locations have a waiting list, with varying wait times.

How to pay
At paid on-street parking spaces with zone numbers, you can pay for parking with your phone.
Zone information is found on the nearby parking metres, signs or the app.
Paying with your phone
With the free HonkMobile app, you can easily search, pay for and top up parking on a phone, tablet or computer.
Set up and payment is simple
- Download the HonkMobile app.
- Set up an account including your vehicle and payment information.
- Choose the "zone" or location to park.
- Choose time needed to park. (You can also use the app to extend your parking time, up to the location's maximum.)
- You're finished! When you pay with the HonkMobile app, there is no printed payment stub to display on your car's dash
Exclusions
Quick stop meters (20 minutes for $.50) are not available for use with HonkMobile
At paid municipal lots and garages with pay-by-plate parking meters, you can pay for parking with your credit card, cash or mobile phone.
You will recognize these meters by their electronic display screen and the solar panels on the top of the machine.

- Insert your credit card and choose the time needed to park.
- Accepted payment cards include Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discovery.
- Display the printed payment stub on your car's dash.
Pay with cash
- Insert coins to purchase time needed to park.
- All coins are accepted.
- Display the printed payment stub on your car's dash.
