Past project updates
The Town of Oakville is finalizing the Westminster Drive design following the completion of a Green Infrastructure Review. This review, conducted by Sustainable Technologies, an extension of Credit Valley Conservation, included an evaluation of the proposed design and a field investigation with town staff and town's stormwater engineer. Conservation Halton also participated in the field investigation, providing valuable input.
We are on track to finalize the design and issue it for tender this winter, which is consistent with the project timeline. The updated design incorporates key green infrastructure improvements, including:
- Enhanced ditches with underdrains where feasible.
- An oil and grit separator to cleanse stormwater.
- Soil amendments to improve permeability, and;
- Tree preservation.
