Morrison Road Culvert Replacement
Existing culvert to be replaced along a branch of Lower Wedgewood Creek.
The Town of Oakville has initiated design works to replace the existing corrugated steel pipe (CSP) culvert located in Lower Wedgewood Creek along Morrison Rd, between Coleen Drive and Linbrook Road.
Project scope
The existing CSP culvert (approximately 1.2 metres in diameter) on Morrison Road is in poor condition due to corrosion, sediment buildup, and general deterioration, necessitating its replacement to maintain roadway safety and functionality.
A like-for-like replacement is being designed using durable materials to ensure long-term performance. The project will also incorporate stormwater management improvements, including enhancements to drainage ditches and outlets to improve flow definition and, where feasible, optimize water quality.
