Final public information centre takes place on May 27, 2025

To improve the overall transportation framework in Oakville, the town is entering the final stage of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) Review. The community is invited to attend the fourth and final Public Information Centre (PIC) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakville Town Hall to review the draft plan and provide input. Staff presentation begins at 6:15 p.m.

Shaped by community input received so far at various stages of public engagement, the town will share the draft plan which includes TMP initiatives, implementation and phasing plan. This is a hybrid event with in-person attendance, and the staff presentation will be live streamed on the town’s YouTube channel. Project details will be displayed on panel boards, and town staff and project consultant team will be available to interact with the public and answer questions.

Input collected from this upcoming PIC will be considered before the final report is brought to Council for approval this fall.

The TMP is essential for fostering a more livable Oakville and accommodating growth projected through 2051. It will establish comprehensive multi-modal plan with policies, programs and infrastructure improvements to enhance mobility for all road users, including a focus on more sustainable modes of travel such as walking, cycling and transit, supporting the town’s vision to be a vibrant and livable community for all.

With a growing population, advancements in technology, and environmental considerations, the updated Transportation Master Plan for Oakville will reflect the current and future needs and aspirations of both residents and visitors.

More details are available on the Transportation Master Plan page.
