Oakville residents invited to rock the stage this Canada Day

Be a Rock Star Live at Oakville's Canada Day Celebration

The Town of Oakville is turning up the volume with an exciting new opportunity for local talent to take centre stage at this year’s Canada Day celebration. For the first time ever, residents can perform with Rock Star Live, a high-energy band featuring professional musicians from top Canadian acts.

Set against the backdrop of Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park on July 1, 10 lucky winners will join the band to sing iconic Canadian rock anthems, karaoke style in front of a live audience. It’s your chance to bring out your inner rock star and celebrate Canada’s birthday in unforgettable style.

How to enter

• Submit a 30-second video of yourself singing a Canadian classic karaoke-style. Be sure to state your name and age.
• Share your video on any Town of Oakville social media channel.
• Follow us @townofoakville and tag your entry with #OakvilleRockStar so we don’t miss it.

Open to Oakville residents ages 10 and up.

As lyrics will be provided on a screen, all participants should be comfortable reading lyrics and willing to perform live on stage in front of an audience. The deadline to apply is June 10, 2025.

Ten winners will be selected to perform live on stage this Canada Day. Whether you’ve been rocking out at home or just love to sing, now’s your chance to step up and shine.
