The 'News' widget allows you to display a predetermined number of articles in a single space. The 'News' widget is found half way down the pop-up widgets list on the left hand side.
Adding the News Widget
Once the 'News' widget is added to the page, you'll need to add New Items to populate the widget.
Right click the page you've added the widget to and select 'New' > 'Folder'
Break the subsections out by type (News, Public Notices, etc)
Add an 'Inside Page'
Add a 'News Page'
Populate the required fields (name and date)
Add a content widget to the 'News Page' and populate with the article content
This page can contain a mix of widgets to achieve the desired layout
Return to the page with your 'News' widget and edit the widget by selecting the 'Gear' icon
Select the desired 'Root' folders you wish to populate your 'News' widget
Select multiple root folders by holding shift while selecting
Press the blue bar to add to the container
Hit 'Apply'
If your 'News' folders are already built out and you're adding the widget to a new page you can omit the creation of the new folder and add existing folders using the 'News Properties'.
