Page Types

In addition to 'Pages', Kentico features a number of 'Page Types'. The types available will depend on the 'Parent Page' you are adding a new page under. 'Page Types' you may frequently use include

• 'Topic Page'
• 'Inside Page'
• 'News Page'
• 'Events Folder'
• 'Folder'

Adding Page Types

Step 1

To add a new page anywhere on the site select the 'Parent Page' you wish to add the new page under (city), right click 'New' and select the desired 'Page Type'

Note: you can also add a new 'Page Type' by highlighting the 'Parent Page' and selecting the '+' icon from along the site tree.

Note: you can not add a subpage to the 'Home' page, you will need to highlight 'City' and then select 'New' to add a page type.

Note: 'Page Type' may vary based on the kind of 'Parent Page' used above it.

Step 2

Add a 'Name*' and any additional information you'd like you include and hit 'Save'.

Your new page will show up in the tree under your desired parent page. By default, your new page will be selected.
